The nuts & bolts of climate change

The nuts & bolts of climate change

The story of climate change is full of drama, mystery, and intrigue. It begins billions of years ago, involves massive meteor impacts, continents smashing into one another, Earth’s wobbly orbit around the sun, and of course, people—heroes and villains and everyday people of all ages. Who knew what, when? What’s causing it today? Where’s the evidence? How will it affect us? And what are we doing about it?

People have been trying to unravel the mysteries of climate change for more than 150 years. Their journeys from Antarctica to Siberia, the deepest oceans to the upper atmosphere, and the far more treacherous realms of power, corruption, and greed, are quietly embedded in this ‘nuts & bolts’ section of the website, which is told in four parts.

This is your story, too. In the coming months under the menu ‘Our places’, ‘Innovation’ and ‘News’ we will feature the work being done to restore and protect native ecosystems that will help all Cantabrians to become climate resilient.
